INTRODUCTION
Thank you for using the DBD application platform and the products, software, services and features we make available to you as part of the platform and on this corporate website (collectively, the “Service”). The primary purpose of the DBD application and the Service is to assist, facilitate, enable and drive business and commercial development and interaction between its Users. This document sets out our Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) which applies when you use the Service. We will only collect, record, store, process, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore and its regulation(s) (the “PDPA Law”). The Privacy Policy may be amended, updated and/or restated by us at any time and from time to time, and your continued use of the Service shall be deemed as your express and specific consent and agreement to, and acknowledgment of receipt of, the Privacy Policy and any and all amendments, updates and/or restatements thereof. Please read the Privacy Policy carefully and make sure that you understand it. If you do not understand, or do not accept and agree to, any part of the Privacy Policy, then you may not use the Service and you may delete your Account. We suggest that you may wish to seek legal advice in relation to the Privacy Policy prior to your use of the Service. The data controller collecting the data described herein is DBD Technologies Pte. Ltd. (“DBD, “we” or “us"). Unless otherwise defined herein, capitalized terms used in this Privacy Policy have the meaning ascribed to such terms in the User Agreement.
1. Data We Collect
1.1 Registration
To register and create and/or activate your Account to make use of the Service, you will be required to provide your Business Contact Information and other data including (without limitation) your full name, your business/company name, business email address and/or business mobile number, business contact number, general location (e.g., city or country), and a password. If you register for a Subscription Service, you will need to provide your payment (e.g., credit card) and billing information.
1.2 Profile
At the time of registering and/or activating your Account (or at any time subsequently), you may also provide to DBD additional data on your profile about yourself and/or your business/company, which may be made available on the Service and accessed and viewed by other Users of the Service. Please do not post or add personal data to your profile that you would not want to be publicly available or available to other Users of the Service.
1.3 Posting and Uploading
We collect personal data from you when you provide, post, upload or otherwise Submit it to the Service, such as when you fill out a form, respond to a poll or survey of Users’ opinions or making posts that would be viewed on the Service wallfeed of other Users.
1.4 Data about You from Others
Other Users may make posts or write about you on the Service. Other Users may, in relation to your Card Information, provide data about you and/or your business/company such as the primary and secondary business sectors that you or your business/company may be engaged in.
1.5 Partners and our affiliated companies
We receive data about you when you use the services of our customers, partners and/or our affiliated companies.
1.6 Usage Data
We log your visits and use of the Service. We log usage data when you visit or otherwise use the Service, including our sites and applications, such as when you view or click on content or advertisements, perform searches etc. We use log-ins, cookies, device information and internet protocol (“IP”) addresses to identify you and log your use of the Service.
1.7 Cookies and similar technologies
We receive and collect data through cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies (e.g. pixels and tags) to collect data (such as device IDs) to recognise you and your device(s) on, off and across different services and devices where you have engaged or made use of the Service. We may also allow some others to use cookies on the Service.
1.8 Evaluation and Assessment by DBD
Each User’s data and information (including each User’s Business Contact Information and any personal data of such Users) collected, recorded, stored, processed, used and/or disclosed by DBD Service is primarily to assist, facilitate, enable and drive business and commercial development and interaction between the Users of the Service. Prior to the collection, use or disclosure of any User’s personal data on, through or in connection with the Service, DBD has conducted an assessment and determined that the proposed collection, use or disclosure of such personal data on, through or in connection with the Service is not likely to have any adverse effect on each respective User. In accordance with the PDPA Law, we hereby remind each User that each User is entitled to notify DBD that he/she does not consent to DBD’s collection, use or disclosure of such User’s personal data by email to data.protection.office@DBDcards.com. In view of the online nature of the Service, any such notification should be made to DBD within five Singapore business days after such User’s first receipt of the email from DBD welcoming such User to make use of the Service.
2. How We Use Your Data
2.1 Service
Our Service helps you and other Users to connect with each other, so as to assist, facilitate, enable and drive business and commercial development and opportunities and interaction between Users. We use your data to provide, support, personalize and develop the Service. We may use your personal data to improve, develop and provide products and services, develop and train artificial intelligence (AI) models, develop, provide and personalize the Service, and gain insights with the help of AI, automated systems and inferences, so that the Service can be more relevant and useful to you and other Users.
2.2 Connections
Our Service helps and allows you to manage and expand your business connections and opportunities. We use data about you (such as your profile and the User profiles you have viewed) to help other Users find your profile and Contact Information, and suggest to you other Users which you may wish to connect with, add to your network of business contacts and/or access their Contact Information.
2.3 Communications
We contact you and enable or facilitate communications between Users of the Service. We will contact you through email, business phone numbers (including via SMS), notices posted on the Service and other ways through the Service, including text messages and push notifications.
2.4 Advertisements
We use your data to make available and deliver advertisements both on, through and off the Service.
2.5 User Support
We use your data to help you and other Users to fix any problems in using the Service. We use data to investigate, respond to and resolve complaints and any technical and non-technical issues relating to the use of the Service.
2.6 Sharing of Data
Your Business Contact Information, any data that you include on your profile, any content you post or Submit on or through the Service and any social action (e.g. likes, follows, comments and shares) you take on or through the Service will be seen by others.
2.7 Legal Disclosures
We may share your data when we believe it is required by applicable law, regulations, orders of regulators or tribunals, subpoenas, legal discovery processes and/or in connection with legal proceedings or investigations.
2.8 Data Retention
We will generally retain all of your personal data as long as you have not deleted your Account. However, notwithstanding that you have deleted your Account, (a) to the extent that applicable law does not prohibit DBD, the DBD application and/or the Service from retaining, using, processing, storing and/or disclosing your Business Contact Information and/or any other information or data (including, without limitation, any Card Information, Contact Details, Contact Info and Profile Information), DBD, the DBD application and/or the Service may in its sole and absolute discretion continue to retain, use, process, store and/or disclose your Business Contact Information and/or any such other information or data, including continuing to make available such Business Contact Information and/or any such other information or data on the DBD application and/or the Service and (b) in any case, your deletion of your Account will not remove, limit, restrict or adversely affect your Card Information that was provided/scanned/Submitted by any other User, and such other Users will continue to retain full access and use of the Card Information under that other User’s “Scanned Contacts” tab (or equivalent tab) on the DBD application and/or the Service.
DBD will preserve, maintain, retain, transfer and protect each User’s personal data that is in DBD’s possession or under DBD’s control in accordance with the requirements of the PDPA Law.
2.9 Right of Access
Each User has the right of access to their personal data Submitted to the Service. Requests to be provided with, remove, correct or update your personal data that is in our possession or control should be directed to data.protection.office@DBDcards.com.
